Petter Iderström Pankinaho is a Swedish Trumpet player with a  unique sound that can be described as contemporary avant-garde. He has previously been compared to the trumpet player, Ron Miles. After long studied jazz in Sweden he started to look internationally for inspiration. He studied six months in Paris where he discovered the rich and international jazz scene and met one of his biggest inspirations, Ambrose Akinmsuire. Later he became a member of the Betty Carter jazz ahead Program where he met like-minded musicians and mentors like Jason Moran and Markus Printup who shared the same desire to develop the jazz music. When Petter came home to Sweden, he contacted musicians who shared the same musical interest to record his debut album. The album was recorded at Nacksving Studios in the spring of 2023, in Gothenburg, Sweden. The album "MOOD BOARD" will be released on CD and digitals, 6th of October 2023, at the record label Varva Records and music. 

The goal of his debut album “MOOD BOARD” is to capture the overall feeling of creating energy and a vibe. Energy that sometimes can´t be captured on a recording but can only be experienced in a live context. The album consists of a collage of compositions of different musical textures, moods and grooves. The music is always curious and constantly searching for the unexplored. The album ranges from drum and bass grooves, avant-garde jazz to hymn-like ballads.
